Ok, then, what is my dervish supposed to do, then? There's only a handful of builds for him that don't completely suck, so under this suggestion I'd pretty much be forced to suck most of the time.

But even worse than that would be the problems for the paragons. They only have one really good build. What are they gonna do, huh?

Instead of enforcing balance, all this would do is create more imbalance, only the more versatile classes (such as the necromancer) would become the overpowered ones.

There are tons of dervish builds that "don't completely suck." But as you seem adamant upon believing is that if something is not at the tip top of perfect efficiency then it sucks, by your definition every single class only has a handful of builds that don't suck.

But the OP's idea is downright terrible. Guild Wars doesn't need some new and fancy system for balance, the balancing just needs to be in the hands of people that really do understand the game well.

So basically your solution to preventing abuse of overpowered skills is to simply block people from using them EVERY TIME THEY GO OUT?

Definately the worst solution to this problem, possibly the worst suggestion to come up in a long while.

My favorite has to be tying skills to consumable items. Like it's not plainly obvious they got that stupid idea from WoW (Flash Powder anyone? Even WoW realized how stupid that idea was...)

Enraged Lunge. Or switch secondaries, pick up a spear, and start going through the para elites.

An interesting way of exploring those little used secondary elites as BrettM has mentioned.

Would also make pugging a scream - enter group, ping your healing bar. Cue "WTF dude, why do you have Signet of Spirits in your bar for????". Reply "I has no choice "
